Здравствуйте! My name is Sarunas and I have recently moved to St Petersburg - long story. I was born in Литва, but have spent the last 10 years in Ireland. Я говорю не очень хорошо пo-русски. I used to ride on шоссейных in Ireland. Going to work everyday (5-7km each direction) for 2 years and then also for 1 year on weekends 80km - 120km. I miss cycling and now want to get a MTB as this looks to be more suitable for SpB. I would like to ride to/from work, Комендантский проспект/Старая Деревня to Англи́йская на́бережная area. Roads and cars are not very friendly for велосипед! Is a MTB bike best suited for Покатушки over weekends? Now that the cycling season is opening, I would like to join you! Do some of you speak English? Мне нужно изучать русский язык, but speaking some English would be more comfortable at the start! I'll try to buy/rent a bike for the season opening next weekend. I cycled with a borrowed MTB from work today, route similar to what eugenio has suggested, I should be able to happily cycle this everyday. I can see advantages of a Hybrid, will conciser one. Being used to 700cc 23-25mm tires and going to 26" wheels with knobby 2" tires does feel different! What type of bike is most common in Покатушки? -- Сегодня доехал на горном велосипеде, который мне одолжили, с работы до дома по маршруту похожему на тот, что предложил евгений. думаю, я преспокойно смогу ездить так каждый день. Я понимаю плюсу гибрида и подумаю, не приобрести ли. Я привык к 700сс 23-25мм шинам и очень чувствую разницу по отношению к 26" колесам и толстенным 2" шинам! Какой тип велосипедов превалирует на Покатушках?

спасибо! spaar: I met a girl from SpB in Dublin few years ago, it just happened that I have managed to get a job in SpB and decided to move. My job involves computers and does not need Russian.
